Meet Wynand of Mastermac Auto Repairs in Swellendam.

Share Wynand’s Story:
Wynand is a mechanic with a passion for customers, cars and his home town. While some might prefer the busyness and noise of the city, Wynand returned from big city life to start his mechanical workshop and roadside assistance business in his home town of Swellendam.

“I always said to myself, ‘Well, when I’m 35 I want my own workshop. I want to do my own thing’. When I turned 35 I thought, ‘Okay now it’s time’.”

Mastermac Auto Repairs has been up and running for about 5 years now and Wynand and his team work hard at building customer relationships and forming real connections within the community.

“It’s my home town, my folks are here, it’s nice and quiet. There is a very strong sense of community here. The clients are mostly from this area. It’s a big farming area as well. I do a lot of farming vehicles, bakkies, whatever I can put in here I put in here and I do the job. I think a smaller business like mine can give that more intimate one on one relationship with the customer. Because that’s what I live for.
